Recently, the Nanchong Dazhu Expressway project released an investor bidding announcement. The project is implemented using the BOT franchise model, with the bidding parties being the people's governments of Dazhou City, Guang'an City, and Nanchong City, and the implementing agency being the Dazhou City Transportation Bureau.

The expressway involves multiple cities and counties

The Nanchong Dazhu Expressway covers 3 cities and 5 districts and counties, including Gaoping District and Peng'an County in Nanchong City, Guang'an District in Guang'an City, as well as Qu County and Dazhu County in Dazhou City. The route starts from Shengguan Town, Gaoping District, connects with G42 Shanghai Chengdu Expressway, passes through many districts and counties, ends at memorial archway Hub, Miaoba Town, Dazhu County, connects with Dazhu Dianjiang Expressway, and connects with G65 Baotou Maoming Expressway through cross hubs.

Project scale and standards

The total length of the expressway is about 77.15 kilometers, with an estimated total investment of 16.918 billion yuan. It adopts the technical standard of a two-way six lane expressway and is designed with a speed of 100 kilometers per hour. At the same time, Longxing, Yinhan, Longtai and Langya four connecting lines will be constructed simultaneously, with a total length of 10.3 kilometers, all of which will be constructed according to the standard of Class II or third-class highway. Significance of the project

The Nanchong Dazhu Expressway is one of the 44 connecting lines in the "Sichuan Province Expressway Network Layout Plan (2022-2035)", and it is also the most convenient passage for eastward entry and exit of Sichuan. It combines the functions of G42 Shanghai Chengdu Expressway and G5515 Zhangnan Expressway double track. Its construction plays an important role in enhancing the eastbound transportation capacity in and out of Sichuan, strengthening regional connections along the route, cultivating the economic sub center of Northeast Sichuan Province, promoting cooperation between Sichuan and Chongqing, driving economic development along the route, and connecting rural revitalization.Editor/Gong Ziwei
