China and Thailand sign EEC memorandum of cooperation

On April 20, 2026, in the signing hall of the Royal Thai Consulate General in Guangzhou, a memorandum of cooperation across the Lancang River and the the Pearl River was officially written. Zhuhai Hengqin Jingtong Rongzhi Technology Information Co., Ltd. exchanged texts with representatives from the Eastern Economic Corridor Office of Thailand, and shook hands with the industries of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and the Eastern Economic Corridor of Thailand, thus entering the project list stage from the framework intention.

The first Chinese enterprise locks in EEC New City

Jing Tong Rongzhi has become the first Chinese enterprise to sign ten major government infrastructure PPP projects with the Eastern Economic Corridor of Thailand, and also the first benchmark enterprise to sign a cross-border cooperation memorandum with it. The Eastern Economic Corridor of Thailand is a national flagship project aimed at the world, focusing on five industrial clusters: healthcare, digital economy, next-generation automobiles, bio circular green economy, and high-end services. It is supported by world-class infrastructure and one-stop investment guarantees.

100000 P computing power landing in zero carbon park

According to the memorandum, both parties will build a 100000 P intelligent computing center in three phases in the Eastern Economic Corridor of Thailand, supporting a green energy system, creating a zero carbon park and a national level digital economy platform. The cooperation covers four major areas: the construction of new energy and comprehensive energy management systems, blockchain digital industrial parks and computing power centers, the development of Sino Thai pharmaceutical R&D and intelligent manufacturing parks, and supporting public infrastructure such as smart new city transportation networks. More than 50 companies observed and connected with each other

Prior to the signing ceremony, officials from the Eastern Economic Corridor of Thailand had in-depth discussions with representatives from over 50 domestic and foreign enterprises, including China Datang Corporation, Guangzhou Development Group, and CITIC Financial Industry. On May 15th, both parties will also hold a follow-up signing ceremony at the headquarters of the Eastern Economic Corridor in Bangkok. This cooperation marks the official integration of China's computing technology and green low-carbon solutions into the core carrier of Thailand's 4.0 strategy, and the upgrading of China Thailand industrial cooperation from single point trade to systematic capacity cooperation.Editor/Gao Xue
