In the first quarter of 2026, the Zhejiang coastline is interwoven with the roar of machines and the sound of waves crashing against the shore, creating a passionate symphony of construction. The 100 key projects of Zhejiang Province's strong ports have invested 19.6 billion yuan in real money in just three months, completing 32% of the annual plan. The progress bar not only exceeds the time, but also accelerates the coastal economy. This wave of maritime infrastructure involving energy, logistics, and high-end manufacturing is reshaping the port map of the Yangtze River Delta with unexpected intensity.

Intensive completion of key projects

There is no pause button on the construction site. From the core port area of Ningbo Zhoushan Port to the logistics base in Taizhou, a batch of landmark projects started intensively in the first quarter, breaking the traditional off-season curse of winter construction.

At Liuheng Island, the South Channel project with a total investment of 1.46 billion yuan has fully entered the site, and the dredging and embankment construction of 47.7 kilometers will continue until 2029. After completion, it will completely open up the main artery of LNG ships; On the construction site of the second phase of Xiehe Wharf in Beilun Port Area, the first large pipe pile has precisely sunk into the seabed. This small and beautiful project, which costs only 120 million yuan, will add a key oil storage and transportation node to Zhejiang in 2028.

What is even more remarkable is the Dinghai Aoshan operation area, where the first dock supporting the 390 million yuan offshore intelligent innovation industry base has been built. This is not only a dock, but also the first intelligent brain of China's marine power transmission industry, aiming to promote the high-end transition of submarine cable engineering.

Accelerated release of shoreline resources

If funds are blood, the coastline is the backbone of the port. Since 2026, Zhejiang has demonstrated astonishing speed in breaking the ice in coastal approval.

On Jintang Island, the crude oil storage and transportation base terminal project with a total investment of 1 billion yuan has just received approval documents, and two 300000 ton crude oil berths are ready to go, striving to start construction in June; In Chuanshan Port Area, the No. 0 container berth and Sinopec Lingkun Oil Depot supporting terminal have been approved successively, and the new capacity with a total investment of over 650 million yuan will be released in the next two years. These approved projects are not only simple expansions, but also precise enhancements to regional energy security and logistics efficiency.

Behind it is a saturated battle of three-level linkage between provinces, cities, and enterprises. From the handling of seawall policies in the Fodu operation area to the centralized declaration of operators in Zhejiang LNG Phase III, the once difficult problems that were once stuck in the neck were shattered one by one by the on-site office. More importantly, taking advantage of the preparation of the 15th Five Year Plan, super projects such as the Liuheng Port Area Project and the Xiaoyangshan North Side Project of Yangshan Deepwater Port have successfully entered the national planning outline, laying the foundation for Zhejiang ports to lead in the next five years. Keywords: port logistics, port construction

This maritime battle, with an investment of nearly 20 billion yuan, is not only about piling up concrete and steel bars, but also injecting strong logistics momentum into the dual circulation nodes. When the Six Horizontal South Passage is fully operational in 2029, every investment made today will be transformed into a solid foundation for connecting the Yangtze River Delta with the sea.Editor/Cheng Liting
