China National Building Materials Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (CNBM) and Morocco's Marita have reached a significant cooperation agreement in the African renewable energy sector, formally signing a cooperation agreement to jointly promote the development of renewable energy projects and the implementation of green technologies in Africa. This signing marks a substantial step forward in cooperation between Chinese and Moroccan enterprises in third-party markets.

According to the agreement, the two parties will focus on clean energy sources such as solar and wind power, and conduct in-depth cooperation in project development, engineering construction, technology transfer, and localized operation. CNBM will leverage its technological advantages in wind turbine blades, high-pressure composite gas cylinders, and new energy materials, while Marita will utilize its network and local resources in the African market to jointly create green energy solutions tailored to African needs.

Africa has abundant solar energy resources, but there is still considerable room for improvement in electricity coverage and the cleanliness of energy. This collaboration between Chinese and Moroccan enterprises will not only help improve Africa's renewable energy infrastructure but also boost local employment and technological capabilities, contributing to regional sustainable development. This cooperation is also a practical achievement under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative between China and Morocco, providing a replicable path for more Chinese enterprises to use Morocco as a base to radiate into the African renewable energy market. Both sides stated that they will further explore cutting-edge fields such as hydrogen energy and energy storage systems to continuously promote Africa's green transition.
