During the May Day holiday, the 220 kV Copper Jue Line project in Huangshi, Hubei Province, seized the construction window period. More than 160 power builders stayed at their posts and fought on the front line, fully promoting the project construction sprint progress and ensuring that the project was completed and put into operation on schedule.
The 220 kV Copper Jue Line is a key power grid supporting line for the Jinshang Hubei ± 800 kV High Voltage DC Project. The total length of the line is 25.8 kilometers, and 70 new iron towers are planned to be built, with a power transmission capacity of 670000 kilowatts. The terrain along the project is complex, with nearly 40% of the route passing through mountainous forests. Traditional land transportation of tower materials is difficult and time-consuming, which seriously restricts the construction progress.
To solve the problem of construction and transportation in mountainous areas, State Grid Huangshi Power Supply Company has innovated the construction method, adopted the unmanned aerial vehicle rotation lifting operation mode, opened up a green channel for tower material transportation in the air, greatly improved the efficiency of material transportation, and ensured that the construction process during holidays does not stop and the progress does not lag behind. As of now, 70% of the overall project volume of the Copper Wire Project has been completed. The project is expected to be officially put into operation in late May this year. After production, the power supply capacity in Huangshi area will be increased to 3.8 million kilowatts, further strengthening the grid structure of the eastern Hubei power grid and laying a solid foundation for reliable guarantee of regional summer peak electricity consumption.
