Serbian President attends signing ceremony for Chinese funded expressway project

On May 7th, Serbian President Vu č i ć attended the signing ceremony for the construction of the "Karacholje Leadership Corridor" expressway project by Chinese enterprises. Ambassador to Serbia Li Ming, Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Sofronyevich, and others attended.

President Vu č i ć stated that the "Karacholje Leadership Corridor" will connect Belgrade and central Serbia, and the project construction is of great significance for local investment promotion and tourism development.  

Ambassador Li stated that infrastructure construction is an important component of Serbia's 2030 strategic plan, and the successful signing of the "Karacholje Leadership Corridor" expressway project is another achievement for Chinese companies to deeply cultivate the Serbian market, as well as an important harvest for China and Serbia to continue deepening practical economic and trade cooperation. We believe that Chinese enterprises will complete project construction with high quality and high standards. We hope that both sides will continue to tap into the potential of infrastructure cooperation, promote the implementation and effectiveness of more projects, and make new contributions to the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Serbia in the new era.

The planned total length of the "Karachorje Leadership Corridor" project is approximately 146 kilometers. The two sections signed this time are approximately 83 kilometers long, with a project amount of about 1.3 billion euros, and are constructed by Shandong Expressway Group.Editor/Gong Ziwei
