The world's highest altitude tower solar thermal power station under construction - Xizang Kaitou Anduo Tusuo 100 MW solar thermal+800 MW photovoltaic integration project is in a critical period of construction. Located in Anduo County, Nagqu City at an altitude of 4650 meters, the project overcame the "triple challenges" of ultra-high altitude, ultra-low temperature, and extremely weak power grid, and installed 15927 solar mirrors resembling "plateau sunflowers". As the first tower type solar thermal power station in Xizang, it is equipped with an 8-hour molten salt thermal storage system, and its annual power generation will reach 260 million kilowatt hours.

Driven by the national dual carbon strategy, the proportion of renewable energy installed capacity in China has exceeded 50%. Northwest Institute is deeply cultivating clean energy "no man's land", with a cumulative wind and solar design scale exceeding 150 million kilowatts, accounting for about 14.7% of the country's total, and participating in the construction and grid connection scale accounting for 10% of the country's total. Its market share in solar thermal and offshore photovoltaics reached 25.37% and 18.02% respectively, and it is providing full chain services to support the construction of the country's new energy system.Editor/Cheng Liting
