Recently, the precise positioning of the first box girder of the Shanjia Extra Large Bridge on the Guangdong section of the Zhangshan High speed Railway, constructed by China Railway 12th Bureau, marks the comprehensive entry of this coastal artery into the beam erection stage.
The Zhangshan high-speed railway has a total length of about 176 kilometers and a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It starts from Zhangzhou Station on the Fuzhou Xiamen high-speed railway, passes through Chaozhou and Shantou, and ends at Shantou Station. It is a key link in the national eight vertical and eight horizontal coastal passages. China Railway 12th Bureau is responsible for the construction of approximately 27 kilometers of the Guangdong section, including key projects such as Changle Tunnel, Majinshan Tunnel, and Chaoshan Hanjiang Extra Large Bridge. The first Shanjia Extra Large Bridge this time has a total length of approximately 669.786 meters and a complex span combination -13 32 meter box girders, 4 40 meter box girders, and 1 6-meter cast-in-place girder. The construction difficulty is not low.

The confidence to produce 50 units per month
Numbers are the most indicative of a problem. China Railway 12th Bureau has built the first intelligent beam making yard in the Guangdong section, covering an area of about 226.3 acres. It includes five functional areas: beam making area, beam storage area, steel processing area, and concrete mixing area, and is responsible for the prefabrication of 501 hole simply supported box girders. Within the site, the CNC fully automatic steel bar cutting and bending production line, intelligent unmanned mixing station, and intelligent testing system are all in operation. More importantly, the 3D digital twin beam field built based on "BIM+GIS" technology automatically integrates multi-source data into the production scheduling cockpit - the beam position, production progress, quality and safety indicators are clear at a glance, with a maximum monthly production capacity of 50 beams.
The core logic of this system is very clear: IoT as the foundation, AI monitoring as the backup, from steel bar feeding to concrete pouring to box girder outbound, the entire chain is digitized.

Building beams is the real test. The project team is equipped with a complete set of thousand ton level lifting and lifting equipment, consisting of a "three in one" lifting and lifting system consisting of a lifting machine, a beam transport vehicle, and a beam erection machine. Among them, the independently developed bridge deck automatic turning device is particularly impressive - program module control, real-time monitoring of the entire vehicle by AI, box girder turning and precise positioning on the bridge deck, greatly improving the accuracy of transportation and installation. From the beam making yard to the installation point, the four links of moving, lifting, transporting, and erecting are seamlessly connected, significantly improving construction efficiency. At present, the tunnel excavation and bridge pile foundation construction of the Guangdong section of the Zhangshan high-speed railway are progressing synchronously, and the entire line is expected to be ready for operation by 2027.
