On May 5, 2026, Kazakhstani President Tokayev held talks with Li Kaifu, CEO of 01.AI and founder of Sinovation Ventures, in China. The two sides discussed in depth the prospects and implementation path of cooperation on core issues such as deepening cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence and promoting the landing of joint innovation projects.

During the meeting, Tokayev made it clear that Kazakhstan will continue to deepen cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence and make every effort to build a pragmatic, efficient, and results oriented China Kazakhstan partnership in the artificial intelligence industry.
