In Quzhou, Zhejiang, staff from State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company are using unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) four machine lifting technology to transport materials. The total weight of the materials to be lifted this time is 5.6 tons. According to previous single machine lifting requirements of 28 times, only 8 times can be completed through quadruple lifting, greatly improving transportation efficiency and providing a new solution for heavy material transportation.
Jiang Yongfei, a maintenance personnel from State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company, said, "This maintenance is a 'big training' for us due to the tight schedule, heavy tasks, and high standards. We actively coordinate technology, personnel, and equipment, scientifically organize and efficiently collaborate to ensure the high-quality completion of the Binjin Line maintenance task
The ± 800 kV Binjin Line is responsible for the large-scale transmission of clean energy from Southwest China to Zhejiang. Since its commissioning, the ultra-high voltage direct current transmission project has cumulatively transmitted over 350 billion kilowatt hours of clean hydropower to Zhejiang. It is understood that the transportation of inspection materials during the maintenance of ultra-high voltage transmission lines has always been a key factor restricting the progress of operations in high-altitude areas. The materials lifted this time are mainly used to install lightning protection facilities for towers, aiming to improve the lightning protection level of ultra-high voltage transmission lines and ensure their smooth operation. The 9-day maintenance of the Quzhou section has completed the hidden danger investigation of 103 kilometers of the line and 190 towers, eliminated 44 defects, and built a safety barrier for the peak summer season when "Western power enters Zhejiang".Editor/Yang Meiling
