In the first three months of 2026, China's overall industry's outward direct investment increased by 5.4% year-on-year.

From January to March 2026, China's total industry outward direct investment was 309.45 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.4%. Among them, the turnover of foreign contracted engineering business reached 259.35 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%.

From January to March 2026, Chinese enterprises will jointly invest 61.27 billion yuan in non-financial direct investment in the Belt and Road countries. In terms of foreign contracting projects, the newly signed contract value of Chinese enterprises in the joint construction of the the Belt and Road was 348.51 billion yuan, up 2.4% year on year; Completed a turnover of 218.69 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10%.
