Recently, the winning bid results of the investment bidding project for the Mengyin Pizhou Expressway were officially announced, marking an important step in the construction process of this expressway project with a total investment of over 10 billion yuan.
Detailed planning of high-speed routes
The starting point of the Mengyin Pizhou Expressway is located in the southeast direction of Mengyin County, at the southern hub of Mengyin where the Beijing Shanghai Expressway intersects with the planned Weizhou Expressway. This route will utilize the Weizhou Expressway and Bintai Expressway to extend to the Bintai Expressway in the west of Tongshi Town, Pingyi County, and set up a Tongshi hub; Subsequently, a new section of road will be built in the southeast direction, passing through the west of Pingyi County's local town and the west of Zhutian Town in Fei County. It will connect with the Linteng Expressway to the northwest of Xujiaya Reservoir, continue southwest of Xinzhuang Town in Jinzi County, and connect with the Lanhe Expressway to the south of Shangyan Town. After reaching the northeast of Nanqiao Town in Lanling County, it will connect with the proposed Linxu Expressway and establish the Lanling South Hub. Finally, the Linxu Expressway will be used to extend southward to the border of Lushu Province in Changcheng Town, Lanling County, and connect to the planned expressway in Jiangsu Province.

Project technology and scale
The main line of the Mengyin Pizhou Expressway adopts the standard of a two-way four lane expressway, with a designed speed of 120 kilometers per hour and a roadbed width of 27 meters; The vehicle load level for bridge and culvert design is Highway Level I, with a basic seismic peak acceleration of 0.15g. All other technical indicators are implemented in accordance with the "Technical Standards for Highway Engineering" (JTG B01-2014). The connecting lines of the interchanges set up in the project adopt the technical standards of second-class highway, and the subgrade width is 12m. The main construction mileage of the expressway is 83.9 kilometers, with 14 major bridges, 13 medium bridges, 10 interchanges, and 22 separated interchanges to be built. At the same time, 1 service area, 1 parking area, 1 section monitoring and communication sub center, and 2 maintenance work areas will be built as supporting facilities. In addition, nine shed interconnection connection lines and car rim interconnection connection lines will be set up.
