As of May 12, 2026, the largest deep coalbed methane production base in China, the China National Petroleum Corporation's Daji gas field, has produced a total of 1.412 billion cubic meters of gas in 2026, a year-on-year increase of 38.6%. At present, the daily gas production of the gas field is 11 million cubic meters, and the production momentum continues to improve. PetroChina Coalbed Methane Company has achieved new results by breaking through the situation with technological innovation and overcoming the difficulties of deep mining.

Daji Gas Field accelerates the iteration and upgrading of lifting technology, innovatively applies new technologies such as horizontal fracturing wellbore cleaning and hydraulic rodless pumps, successfully solves the bottleneck of traditional mining, and achieves multiple effects of development quality improvement, energy consumption reduction, and efficiency improvement. The company's first horizontal gas well with a length of over 3000 meters, the Jishen 8-3-Ping01 well, has successfully completed the wellbore cleaning operation after fracturing, achieving a breakthrough in key technology for cleaning ultra long horizontal wellbore. At the same time, the company is accelerating the construction of platforms such as intelligent well sites, intelligent pipelines, and intelligent stations, promoting the integration and application of multi-disciplinary data in geology, engineering, production, safety, and other fields, providing strong support for scientific research collaborative analysis and intelligent decision-making in production.
