Recently, a truck loaded with motorcycle parts is about to head towards Hanoi, Vietnam. Almost at the same time, a western land sea new channel train from Jiangjin Xiaonanya Station is sounding its horn and heading straight to Laos. Two once deserted fourth class stations are now linked together to form a global logistics network that integrates railway, public transportation, water and air transportation, and connects the southeast, northwest, and southeast, pushing this inland city towards the forefront of openness.

The counterattack of two fourth class stations

The predecessor of Tuanjie Village Central Station was a fourth class small station covering only one hundred acres. After renovation in 2009, it became the starting station of the China Europe freight train. In 2011, the first Chongqing Xinjiang Europe freight train sailed from here to Duisburg, Germany, and now the cumulative shipment has exceeded 18000 trains. The first regular train of the Western Land Sea New Corridor in 2017 also started from Tuanjie Village. Jiangjin Xiaonanya Station, located over 200 kilometers away, has also transformed from a fourth class small station into a logistics hub with an annual transportation capacity of over 20 million tons. In 2025, 2199 new land sea channel trains with a cargo value of nearly 12.4 billion yuan will be launched, ranking first in the city.

The intersection origin of the three major international channels

Guoyuan Port is the physical intersection point of the Yangtze River Golden Waterway, the Western Land Sea New Channel, and the China Europe Railway Express, three international logistics corridors. Relying on the multimodal transportation network, the overall export efficiency of Chongqing's automobiles has been improved by more than 30%, and seamless replacement of steel, ore, and electronic products has been completed here for the Jianghai Railway. Cross border highway shuttle buses have established a flexible logistics system covering the Indochina Peninsula and connecting Central Asia and South Asia. They can reach Vietnam within 48 hours at the fastest, with 12555 trips and a total value of over 17.4 billion yuan shipped by 2025.
