On the morning of May 13, 2026, a sea rail intermodal train loaded with daily necessities slowly departed from Yiwu West Railway Station and arrived at Leqing Bay Port Area of Wenzhou Port. After that, it took a liner from COSCO Shipping and operated through the "railway express+sea freight fast" dual fast linkage mode, heading directly to Jeddah Port in Saudi Arabia. This marks the successful launch of the first "Yiwu Saudi Arabia" double fast logistics boutique route in the Yangtze River Delta.

It is reported that the "dual fast logistics model" achieves seamless connection between railway transportation, port transfer, and sea freight shipment by accurately coordinating railway schedules and sea freight schedules, and efficiently links and operates in a closed-loop manner throughout the entire process. The goods depart from Yiwu Railway Port and arrive at Leqing Bay Port Area of Wenzhou Port. Then, relying on the advantages of sea freight and fast shipping, they can directly reach Jeddah Port in Saudi Arabia within 18 days, greatly reducing the shipping cycle of goods. Compared with traditional logistics models, the comprehensive freight cost of this route has decreased by more than 15%. While significantly reducing the logistics cost of foreign trade enterprises, it effectively improves the export circulation efficiency of Yiwu small commodities and injects new momentum into enhancing the market competitiveness of enterprises.

In recent years, with the efficient collaboration of multiple departments such as Yiwu Market Development Commission, Yiwu International Land Port Group, Railway and Customs, the level of Yiwu sea rail intermodal transportation has significantly improved. Taking advantage of the reform of the "Sixth Port Area", Yiwu has promoted the forward movement of port functions, achieving the convenience of "one declaration, one inspection, and one release" customs clearance for goods treated as entering the port locally. On this basis, Yiwu further expands innovative formats such as "China Europe freight train+sea rail intermodal transportation" and "sea rail intermodal transportation+cross-border e-commerce", and strives to accelerate intermodal transportation.
