The aluminum industry chain integration project of Yuxian Xiyan Circular Economy Industrial Park is a key project in Shanxi Province to promote the extension, supplementation, and strengthening of the aluminum industry chain, and achieve green and low-carbon transformation. The project is invested and constructed by Huayang Group, with a total investment of over 5.6 billion yuan. The planned production capacity for the first phase is 294000 tons per year, and it is expected to be put into operation in September 2026. After reaching full capacity, the annual output value will exceed 10 billion yuan.

The project fully utilizes the advantages of local bauxite resources, convenient transportation location conditions, and solid industrial foundation, and adopts the leading 600 kiloampere large-scale pre baked electrolytic cell technology in China, which represents the highest level of the current domestic electrolytic aluminum industry.

The first 600 kiloampere electrolytic cell sample cell completed this time has a total weight of 61.57 tons. It adopts the industry's first cradle frame and slot shell steel structure integrated insertion assembly process, which is currently one of the most advanced and energy-efficient slot types in China. After being put into operation, it can significantly increase production capacity, reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.

Since the start of the project, all participating units have overcome many difficulties such as tight schedule, complex technology, and unpredictable weather. They have scientifically formulated construction plans, optimized resource allocation, and strengthened process control. After five days of hard work day and night, they have successfully completed the sample slot production task and passed the joint acceptance of design, supervision, and construction in one go. All technical indicators have reached or exceeded the design standards, achieving the goal of zero defects and zero errors.

Li Feng, Executive Vice General Manager of Shenyang Aluminum Magnesium Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., said, "Currently, the overall progress of the project is smooth, with a construction commencement rate of 79% for civil engineering, 86% completion of foundation engineering for the electrolysis workshop, and full implementation of steel structure installation. In the next step, the construction team will continue to maintain a tough stance, reverse the schedule, hang up the drawings, and make every effort to accelerate the batch production of electrolysis cells, steel structure installation for the factory building, busbar welding, equipment entry and other work. We will ensure that the first batch of 55 electrolysis cells will be completed by the end of May, batch installation will start in June, the main body of the electrolysis workshop will be capped by the end of June, and all equipment installation and commissioning will be completed in August, laying a solid foundation for the smooth production of the first phase of.
