At present, a batch of major national water conservancy projects are being orderly promoted, providing solid guarantees for high-quality development.

The construction of the second phase of the Huaihe River estuary project is intensifying. Among them, the Huai'an Hub project, which has the largest individual investment, has completed the main construction and is about to carry out underwater acceptance. The hub project is expected to be completed in 2028 and will effectively alleviate the pressure of flood control and waterlogging in the middle reaches of the Huai River, laying a solid foundation for the construction of the Huai River's sea channel.

In Linyi, Shandong, the construction site of Menghe Shuanghou Reservoir is busy with large-scale machinery working together. Workers are seizing the favorable opportunity before the flood season to carry out concrete pouring for the gravity dam body and filling of the left and right bank earth and stone dams. The Menghe Shuanghou Reservoir is a major water conservancy project during the 14th Five Year Plan period of the country, expected to be completed in November this year.

The construction of the Dashixia Water Conservancy Hub in Xinjiang has entered the final sprint stage. The workers are busy installing three hydroelectric generators with a single capacity of 250000 kilowatts. The construction of the dam crest wave wall is also progressing intensively. The Dashixia Water Conservancy Hub Project undertakes comprehensive tasks such as ecological water supply, irrigation, flood control, and power generation in southern Xinjiang. It is expected to be completed and put into operation in August this year. At that time, the annual average power generation can meet the electricity needs of more than 600000 households, supplement ecological water use of 3.42 billion cubic meters for the Tarim River every year, and benefit more than 8 million acres of farmland downstream.
