From May 11th to 15th, 2026, the Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Commerce organized economic and trade delegations to Thailand and Malaysia to carry out a series of economic and trade exchange activities. At the 42nd Thailand International Industrial Expo, 11 Wuhan enterprises made their debut in just two days and have already connected with more than 200 global merchants, reaching an intention to cooperate with nearly 10 million US dollars. At the same time, Hongshan District of Wuhan City signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with the Malaysian Chamber of International Trade and Investment, opening up new opportunities for Wuhan Intelligent Manufacturing to deeply cultivate the Southeast Asian market.

Strengthening the cooperation mechanism through government coordination
During their stay in Thailand, the delegation visited the Foreign Trade Department of the Thai Ministry of Commerce to exchange views on topics such as trade facilitation and mutual recognition of industrial standards. Subsequently, visit the Asia International Trade and Investment Association to build a normalized bridge for communication between government and enterprises. At the Pintong Industrial Park in Chunwuli Prefecture, the delegation conducted on-site inspections and visited representatives of Thai and Han enterprises to strengthen their confidence in rooting in ASEAN.
