Recently, the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia, together with the Mongolian "the Belt and Road" Joint Development Research Center and the Ministry of Economic Development, jointly held a seminar on the China Mongolia Ecological Economic Corridor, which was attended by more than 50 experts, scholars and enterprise representatives.

Counsellor Liu Jingzhi of the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia stated that China actively promotes the deep integration of ecological environment protection and economic and social development. The forest coverage rate has been increasing year by year, and green electricity accounts for nearly 40% of electricity consumption. The production and sales of new energy vehicles have ranked first in the world for 10 consecutive years. China is willing to provide technical support and useful reference for Mongolia's desertification prevention and control, rare species protection, etc.

Erdenetuya, Director of the Economic Cooperation and Trade Policy Department of the Ministry of Economic Development of Mongolia, stated that in recent years, China and Mongolia have actively promoted projects such as the Erdeneburen Hydropower Station, the China Mongolia Desertification Prevention and Control Cooperation Center, and demonstration bases, which have become models of green development transformation cooperation. It is hoped that both sides will strengthen discussions and exchanges in the field of ecological environment, and create new opportunities for development in cooperation between the two countries.
