Recently, Erjinqiong Turdimov, the Governor of Sildaria Oblast in Uzbekistan, led a delegation to visit China, conducting on-site inspections of advanced modern agricultural technologies in Turpan and conducting cooperation negotiations with multiple enterprises in Xinjiang. Both sides will deepen their cooperation in key areas such as water-saving agriculture, smart planting, and cross-border logistics, and make every effort to promote practical cooperation in the agricultural field between China and Ukraine.

Focusing on Water Conservation and Intelligent Agriculture
The delegation conducted a special investigation into the development model of efficient and characteristic agriculture in Turpan, and successively visited the water-saving melon fields in Bodom Village, Olovtog Town, and the melon planting base in Afandi Village, Sanbao Town, to gain a detailed understanding of the application of water-saving drip irrigation technology and high-yield standardized planting models. Subsequently, the delegation visited the intelligent water-saving vineyard in Yar Town to observe the practical application of water-saving technologies such as digital control and real-time monitoring of soil moisture. The focus was on exchanging advanced experience and learning from each other in areas such as improving quality and increasing yield, and efficient and intensive utilization of water resources. Water saving technology becomes the core track
Uzbekistan is a traditional agricultural powerhouse in Central Asia, and the Sildaria region is a core agricultural production area in the area. For a long time, issues such as water scarcity and outdated planting methods have hindered the upgrading of regional agriculture, and there is an urgent need to introduce mature water-saving agricultural technologies and modern planting systems. Xinjiang has been deeply cultivating modern agriculture in arid areas for a long time, accumulating mature experience and mastering advanced technologies in water-saving irrigation, smart planting and other fields. It is highly compatible with the development needs of agricultural transformation and upgrading in Central Asian countries, and has laid a solid foundation for deepening regional agricultural practical cooperation.Editor/Gong Ziwei
