On the afternoon of May 25, 2026, the Chinese President met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz, who was on an official visit to China, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

  No matter how the international situation changes, China always prioritizes the development of China Pakistan relations in its neighboring diplomacy. Not long ago, I received a letter from Pakistani students studying abroad at Tianjin University. The students aspire to be builders of China Pakistan cooperation, disseminators of communication, and guardians of friendship. I am very pleased to see that there are successors to the friendly cause between the two countries. Both sides need to accelerate the construction of a closer China Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era, so that the two countries can achieve more results in all-weather cooperation, better benefit the two peoples, contribute to regional peace and stability, and set an example for building a community with a shared future in the surrounding areas.

Both sides should solidly promote the action plan for building a China Pakistan community with a shared future, coordinate the construction of major landmark projects and "small but beautiful" livelihood projects, and deepen all-round cooperation in agriculture, industry, artificial intelligence, talent cultivation, and other fields. Both sides should carry out higher-level and broader security cooperation to jointly maintain regional peace and stability. The Chinese side appreciates the Pakistani side's proactive role in mediating the restoration of peace in the Middle East region. Both sides should continue to maintain close communication and coordination, jointly oppose unilateralism and Cold War thinking, and jointly promote an equal and orderly world multipolarization and inclusive economic globalization.

The ironclad friendship between Pakistan and China was personally forged by the older generation of leaders of both countries, and has remained steadfast and unparalleled over time. The Pakistani side firmly adheres to the One China principle, firmly supports China's position on all issues involving China's core interests, and will always be a good friend and partner of China. Pakistan is willing to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with China, learn from China's experience in governance, deepen cooperation along the the Belt and Road, and promote the construction of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, so as to keep Pakistan China relations moving forward and benefit the two peoples.
