Recently, a significant milestone was reached in Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030" key project – the Red Sea development project cluster: the HE1 area beach, constructed by China Harbour Engineering Company, successfully passed inspection and was handed over. To date, the overall project construction progress has reached 97.6%, with a total beach length of 20,673 meters completed, and all construction activities are progressing steadily.

Progress Breakthrough

The HE1 area beach, handed over this time, is a core component of the coastal landscape of the Red Sea high-end tourism and resort area. The project's main construction contents include beach sand dredging, screening, and marine engineering backfilling; hotel piling and foundations; piers and floating docks; bridges and culverts; dredging and reclamation; connecting roads and cross-sea bridges; a diving center; and the basic structure of the sports and entertainment area. During construction, approximately 1.8 million cubic meters of sand need to be excavated, and approximately 1.94 million cubic meters of beach sand need to be backfilled. The project is large-scale and has stringent quality requirements.

Overcoming Challenges

The project construction area is scattered, with rugged roads, located on the edge of the desert, and frequently experiences sandstorms. Faced with multiple challenges, the project team scientifically planned the construction scheme, optimized resource allocation and work processes, and efficiently coordinated simultaneous construction at multiple points. Under the premise of strictly implementing safety control and quality standards, they overcame natural conditions and construction organization difficulties one by one, ensuring the orderly progress of the project. Vision-Driven Development

Upon completion, the project will significantly enhance the tourism quality and visitor experience of the Red Sea Development Project, helping Saudi Arabia to create a world-class ultra-luxury tourist resort, and promoting the early realization of the "Vision 2030" goals and economic diversification. China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) has once again established the brand image of Chinese enterprises in the high-end Middle East market with its outstanding contract performance capabilities. Editor/Sunyaxin
