In the early morning at Guigang Station in Guangxi, the long whistle cuts through the tranquility. A container train carrying 170 tons of calcium hydroxide slowly started, and they will depart from here, pass through the Nanning International Railway Port for transfer, and finally cross the border to arrive at the Vietnamese Anyuan Station with precision. This is not only an ordinary cargo transportation, but also the first time that Guigang has opened a railway cross-border logistics route to Vietnam, echoing the Liuzhou Vietnam corridor and making the land connection between Guangxi and ASEAN even closer.

Customized solutions to solve difficult problems
To ensure the smooth export of these special goods, China Railway Nanning Bureau, in conjunction with China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd. Nanning Branch and local governments, has formed a special service team. They go deep into the front line of enterprises and tailor solutions based on the characteristics and transportation needs of calcium hydroxide. This point-to-point refined service not only solves the actual transportation pain points of enterprises, but also accumulates valuable experience for subsequent normalized operation.

Four priorities to ensure smooth communication and accessibility
The opening of a new channel relies on an efficient mechanism of multi-party collaboration. The railway department strengthens the tripartite linkage with customs and enterprises, and fully implements the fast customs clearance mode for import and export. Strictly implement the green channel strategy of prioritizing air allocation, loading and unloading, inspection, and delivery in transportation organization. The project leader of China Railway Container Nanning Branch introduced that by developing a packing plan in advance and monitoring the situation in transit throughout the process, not only did it ensure zero transportation errors, but it also saved customers about 10% of comprehensive logistics costs.

Hub Empowerment for ASEAN
With the deepening of the the Belt and Road Initiative, the supply structure of Sino Vietnamese trains is constantly enriched. This new route achieves seamless cross regional connection and significantly enhances adaptability through the combination of railway and rail intermodal transportation.
