In the early morning of Tianjin, the sea breeze blows gently and the venue is crowded with people. Transportation technology workers from five continents, carrying blueprints, data, and dreams, enter this port city, preparing to collide sparks of wisdom at a conference that concerns the future. After ten years of sharpening a sword, the World Transportation Conference has welcomed its tenth edition - this time, artificial intelligence has become the protagonist.

Experts, scholars, engineers, and industry leaders from 21 countries and regions gathered together. Yan Xinping, Chairman of the Chinese Society of Navigation, emphasized in his speech that artificial intelligence is infiltrating various fields such as highways, railways, water transportation, and aviation at an unprecedented speed. Global colleagues should work together to draw a new blueprint for transportation technology and promote an open and collaborative innovation ecosystem.

The academic atmosphere of this conference is strong, with a total of 2114 papers collected. The Chinese Journal of Highways has specially launched the "WTC 10th Special Issue", inviting renowned experts to write and systematically showcase China's latest breakthroughs in intelligent transportation, resilient infrastructure, and other areas. The Director General of the International Road Federation and the President of the World Water Transport Infrastructure Association, as well as other heads of international organizations, were all present, and multiple international exchange reports became the focus of attention.

During the conference, dozens of parallel forums will be held, covering such hot topics as digital intelligence enabled highways, AI enabled rail transit, and China Africa "the Belt and Road" cooperation. It is expected that tens of thousands of people will participate in the interaction through online platforms. Since its establishment in 2017, the World Transport Congress has grown into one of the most influential international academic platforms in the field of comprehensive transportation in China, providing a solid stage for China's transportation technology to go global.Editor/Yang Meiling
