When the global hydrogen energy project was still being discussed on the PPT, the UAE had already started construction. Innovation Platform Capital Company and Intelligent Investment Holding Company have teamed up to invest $1 billion in the first phase to build a large-scale green hydrogen production base in the United Arab Emirates and simultaneously open up green ammonia export channels.

Cracking the logistics password for hydrogen energy export
The low density of hydrogen and high storage and transportation costs are the biggest obstacles to the commercialization of hydrogen energy. The project follows the route of green hydrogen to green ammonia conversion, connecting overseas markets with the mature global ammonia storage and transportation system. Green ammonia can be used as both a marine fuel and an important industrial raw material, and is considered the most export potential hydrogen derivative. But competitiveness depends on the entire chain cost - renewable energy electricity accounts for more than 60% of the production cost of green hydrogen, and the efficiency of electrolytic cells, equipment utilization, and financing conditions each directly affect project revenue.
Multiple tracks on one platform
The project is not just about hydrogen. Our business covers industrial hydrogen supply, green ammonia mass production, hydrogen energy refrigeration, clean power supply for data centers, and research and development of synthetic fuels, targeting high energy consumption scenarios that are difficult to electrify. Refineries and chemical plants require uninterrupted energy supply, while data centers face dual pressures of energy consumption and cooling, all of which are precise applications for green hydrogen.

The structural advantages of the United Arab Emirates are also very strong: world-class solar irradiance, mature ports and industrial systems, strong capital market access capabilities, combined with net zero emission policies, provide a solid foundation for the project. Keywords: green hydrogen, new energy
But the core challenge of hydrogen energy transitioning from pilot to scale has never disappeared. The joint venture will draw on iPC's hydrogen investment experience in Canada, first building the UAE platform into a replicable benchmark, and then expanding into other strategic markets. The transformation investment fund established as a supporting system is born to solve the practical problems of high cost burning and slow cost recovery in early projects.Editor/Cheng Liting
