Recently, the West Kazakhstan Region, Almaty Region, and Turkestan Region of Kazakhstan have been actively engaging in economic and trade cooperation with China, reaching cooperation agreements and signing multiple contracts with Liaoning, Jiangsu, and Hubei provinces respectively. These agreements cover areas such as industrial investment, logistics, culture and tourism, science and education, and people's livelihood, with a total project scale exceeding 100 billion yuan. This marks a new stage of systematic and large-scale implementation in China-Kazakhstan local bilateral cooperation.

With the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in China, the Governor of West Kazakhstan Region led a delegation to China, meeting with representatives from over 70 enterprises in Liaoning Province. The delegation focused on promoting local investment policies and the advantages of industrial parks. Fifteen Chinese companies participated in the discussions, with a proposed project scale of 10 billion US dollars. The delegation also visited Jinzhou to inspect the petrochemical industry and promoted the establishment of a sister city relationship between Uralsk and Jinzhou.

Almaty Region signed a regional cooperation agreement with Jiangsu Province, simultaneously conducting in-depth economic, trade, and cultural exchanges, as well as cultural exhibitions. Turkestan Region, based on the 2024 Friendship Agreement and the China-Kazakhstan Summit Cooperation Roadmap, is deepening its sister province/region cooperation with Hubei Province, clarifying directions for advancement in multiple fields. Turkestan Region currently has 17 Chinese-funded projects with a total investment of 148 billion tenge. Benefiting from the visa-free policy, Almaty Region expects a 13.19% year-on-year increase in inbound tourists by 2025, with the potential for cultural and tourism cooperation continuing to be released. Editor/Sunyaxin
