On June 9, 2026, coinciding with the second International Day of Dialogue among Civilizations, Tashkent, Uzbekistan welcomed a significant cooperation event. Renmin University of China and the local National Mirza Ulugh University have jointly established a collaborative research center and simultaneously released a special report, adding new ties to education, energy, and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Hand in hand unveiling platform officially landed

Two universities jointly established the China Uzbekistan Development Strategic Cooperation Research Center and held a plaque unveiling ceremony on site. President Ma Huaide of Renmin University of China and Vice President Musurmanov Lavchan of National Mirza Ulugh University jointly unveiled the plaque. The head of Uzbekistan's higher education and research department, school leaders, and representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan witnessed the event.

The new center adheres to the development concept of complementary advantages, pragmatic cooperation, openness, inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual learning, and focuses on conducting research on regional security and cultural exchanges in green energy, economic and trade investment.
