The Saint Brieuc Bay offshore wind energy project is estimated to cost US$2.8 billion and will generate enough electricity to meet the daily electricity needs of more than 835,000 homes.

Under the contract, SGRE will provide and install 62 SG 8.0-167 DD wind turbines for the wind power project. The order also includes a 10-year maintenance agreement for wind turbines.

The project is scheduled to be completed in 2023 and will be jointly developed by Ailes Marines, a consortium of Iberdrola, RES Group and French public sector financial institution Caisse des Dépôts.
