In Quito, the capital of Ecuador, the Guayasamin Museum, known as an art treasure trove on the Andes mountain ridge, oil paintings depicting Latin American history are bathed in stable lighting. Once upon a time, voltage fluctuations in high-altitude regions posed challenges to the preservation of these precious paintings. Now, with a special power generation ceremony held recently, the Guayasaming Museum's integrated light storage demonstration project, led by the Chinese Embassy in Ecuador and jointly supported by Chinese and Ecuadorian enterprises, has been officially put into operation, bringing a continuous stream of Chinese green electricity to this cultural landmark.

The photovoltaic storage project is officially put into operation

The Guayasamin Museum's integrated solar and storage demonstration project, led by the Chinese Embassy in Ecuador and jointly funded by Chinese and Ecuadorian enterprises, held a power generation and commissioning ceremony in Quito, the capital of Ecuador. The construction of this project is undertaken by China Electric Power Construction, equipped with Huawei intelligent energy storage equipment. It can output an average of about 100000 kilowatt hours of clean electricity per year and reduce 70 to 80 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.

Empowering local energy transformation

Chinese Ambassador to Ecuador Sun Xiangyang delivered a speech on site, proposing that culture carries civilization and technology illuminates development. He mentioned that this integrated light storage technology from China is suitable for various scenarios in Ecuador, and clean electricity can ensure stable electricity consumption in rural areas and campuses, effectively improving people's daily production and life. China has always developed side by side with Ecuador, and the Chinese government and enterprises will continue to provide support for local energy green upgrading and sustainable development.

After the project is put into use, the Guayasaming Museum will rely entirely on green electricity to operate, creating a benchmark for low-carbon transformation of cultural and museum venues in Ecuador, and visually demonstrating the value of green development. This is also a public welfare model project for the landing of domestic photovoltaic storage technology in Latin American cultural and museum venues.
