On the coast of the East China Sea, a world-class new materials industry base is accelerating from blueprint to reality. With the precise closure of the largest offshore pipe gallery in China and the full topping out of 16 towering giant spherical tanks, this super project carrying high hopes for industrial upgrading has entered the sprint period of production countdown.
Record breaking offshore lifting
On June 27, 2026, Rongsheng Petrochemical Zhoushan Jintang New Material Integration Project completed two key construction tasks, and the overall project entered the stage of tackling difficulties before production.

The offshore supporting project of the project has completed the first large-scale and heavy high-altitude precise lifting construction in China, with a lifting component weight of 515 tons and an overall length of 43 meters. This construction has set a new record for the construction of petrochemical offshore pipe gallery projects in China, filling in the gaps in relevant construction technologies in China and ensuring the smooth connection of various material transportation pipelines in the park.
All large spherical tanks have been capped and completed
Breakthroughs have been made in the simultaneous construction of storage and transportation supporting projects. All 16 large spherical storage tanks manufactured by Lanshi Heavy Industries have completed the topping out construction, covering 8 3000 cubic meter ethylene spherical tanks and 8 3000 cubic meter propylene spherical tanks. The construction of a complete set of large-scale warehousing facilities has been completed, providing stable support for subsequent equipment assembly, raw material warehousing, and finished product storage and transportation. Billion level industrial base poised for production
The total investment of this integrated project is nearly 67.5 billion yuan, with a planned construction of 27 core production units. After completion, it can create a production base for refining, aromatics, and new materials with a scale of tens of millions of tons. The enterprise is leveraging this project to develop high-end new material industries such as high-performance resins and biodegradable plastics, and to improve the overall industrial layout of the entire chain. The project is planned to be put into operation in batches in 2027, which will enhance the operational efficiency of the enterprise and consolidate its competitive advantage in the domestic refining and new materials industry in China.Editor/Gong Ziwei
