Recently, Al Tayeh, Director General of Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), led an elite team of executives and technical engineers to arrive in Shanghai, covered in dust. Under the guidance of the Shanghai office of Dubai International Chamber of Commerce, this delegation embarked on a high-intensity "China Seeking Intelligence Journey". From the banks of the Huangpu River to the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, they have visited China's top technology and infrastructure companies intensively, and the two strategic cooperation memorandums that have been successively implemented are outlining a new blueprint for the future smart transportation of this desert city.
Rail Transit Laboratory Landing in Dubai
One of the highlights of this cooperation is the partnership between RTA and China CITIC Signal. Both parties will directly establish a research and innovation laboratory for rail transit in Dubai.

This is not only the construction of a physical space, but also the technological heart of Dubai's future metro Blue Line and subsequent new lines. The laboratory will undertake the full chain functions from system testing, technical validation to AI operation and scheduling research and development, completely filling the gaps in Dubai's local on orbit technology acceptance and iteration capabilities.
Huawei AI empowers urban vision
At the same time, RTA's cooperation with Huawei focuses on the construction of digital brains. Both parties will jointly build a unified transportation data platform and implement an AI real-time operation and maintenance system.

This collaboration directly serves Dubai's grand 20 minute urban development vision. By introducing Huawei's cutting-edge technologies in network security, intelligent transportation control, and future travel, Dubai's urban transportation will achieve a true digital reconstruction, making it no longer a dream for residents to reach their required living facilities within 20 minutes.
Chinese enterprises deeply cultivate high-end infrastructure in the Middle East
For Chinese companies, this is not only a project signing, but also an important milestone for China's technology to go global. CITIC Signal has gone abroad with its core technology of rail transit control, while Huawei has entered the high-end market with AI and digital infrastructure.
