Inside the Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center, crowds of people flow and languages from different countries interweave into a prosperous ensemble. On the exhibition stand, a miniature model of the Tianshan Victory Tunnel stands out - it quietly tells the ambition of China's infrastructure to cross the barrier, and also heralds a new chapter of connectivity between the Asian and European continents. On this land full of opportunities, the curtain of the 9th China Eurasia Expo is slowly unfolding with rounds of applause and anticipation.
The grand event kicks off and gathers momentum in Urumqi
From 2026 to 29, the 9th China Eurasia Expo will be held in Urumqi, Xinjiang. The event is jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Government. Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang of the State Council attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Chen Xiaojiang, Secretary of the Xinjiang Party Committee, attended the meeting. Erken Tunyazi, Chairman of the Autonomous Region Government, presided over the opening ceremony.

China Communications Construction Corporation (CCCC) was invited to participate in this exhibition and set up a dedicated booth to showcase its key project, the Tianshan Shengli Tunnel. Wang Chaojiang, Chairman of the Northwest Regional Headquarters of China Communications Construction Corporation, attended the opening ceremony on behalf of the company and participated in multiple economic and trade negotiations.
Central enterprises set up platforms to showcase their hardcore capabilities
The China Eurasia Expo is a national level comprehensive international exhibition aimed at the Asia Europe market. It is not only a key carrier for Xinjiang to build a hub for opening up to the west and constructing an Asia Europe trade channel, but also a core window for high-level exchanges, industrial project docking, and economic and trade exchanges between China and Asia Europe countries. The exhibition has been successfully held for eight sessions since its first held in 2011, with one session held every few years.

The theme of this expo is set as "New Opportunities on the Silk Road, New Vitality in Asia and Europe", to build a specialized platform for resource exchange, project docking, and business negotiations among countries. A total of 27 countries, regions, and international organizations, as well as over 2000 enterprises and institutions from 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and 14 prefectures and cities in Xinjiang, participated in the exhibition. The exhibition innovation adopts a layout of one hall and multiple zones, with six functional zones divided into investment cooperation, new quality productivity, characteristic industries, green development, cultural tourism integration, and Silk Road cooperation.
High level docking and collusion for a new chapter in Asia and Europe
After the opening ceremony, Wangchao Jiang visited various exhibition areas at home and abroad one by one, and had in-depth communication and exchanges with party and government officials and representatives of key enterprises in various fields such as cross-border transportation and logistics, infrastructure interconnection, clean energy, smart cities, science and technology innovation industries, new quality productivity, investment and investment promotion.
