On July 2, 2026, a bidding for the future of China's hydrogen energy industry came to an end in the Ganqimaodu Port Processing Park in Urad Middle Banner, Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia. China Power Construction Beijing Institute, together with partners such as Yunnan Construction Investment and China Railway 17th Bureau, won the production project of alloy solid hydrogen storage materials with a strong bid of 3.255 billion yuan. This super factory with an annual output of 15000 tons of hydrogen storage materials is about to move from drawings to reality.

Annual production of 10000 ton hydrogen storage base
The total construction area of the first phase of the project is 114000 square meters, and 96 standardized production lines are planned to be built. In the future, the goal of producing 15000 tons of alloy solid hydrogen storage materials annually will be achieved. The park is divided into three functional areas: living area, production area, and auxiliary area, covering comprehensive buildings, dormitory buildings, 8 production plants, finished product warehouses, raw material warehouses, and supporting facilities such as 110 kV substations. The alloy solid hydrogen storage material produced in this project is made from more than ten metals and non metals such as lanthanum, magnesium, nickel, cobalt, titanium, etc., and is melted, sintered, crushed, and canned under vacuum high temperature. The production process has no waste residue, wastewater, or exhaust gas emissions, and has the advantages of green environmental protection.

The Electric Power Construction Consortium won the championship with strong momentum
After intense bidding, the consortium consisting of China Power Construction Beijing Institute, Yunnan Construction Investment Company 1, China Railway 17th Bureau and China Railway 17th Bureau Electrification Company ranked first with a bid of 3.25497 billion yuan; China Power Construction Central South Institute ranks second with 3.25515 billion yuan; Beijing Zhongwai Construction Architectural Design Company ranked third with 3.25463 trillion yuan. Two design institutes under China Electric Power Construction Corporation have taken the top two spots, demonstrating their dominance in the infrastructure field of the new energy materials industry.
