Several leading engineering companies in the industry have recently gathered to submit bidding materials for the Oman national level natural gas condensate integration project. This Middle Eastern country, which has abundant natural gas reserves, is transforming its energy development model through full industry chain projects, breaking free from the constraints of single crude oil exports, and relying on inland gas sources and port areas to create a new light hydrocarbon export hub. The construction pace of the entire project continues to accelerate.

Complete industrial chain layout from inland to port areas

The Saini Hada gas production area in central Oman will be equipped with a condensate extraction device, which will rely on local gas sources to complete purification and separation, producing light hydrocarbon products such as ethane and propane. With a stable gas source for 20 years, the daily processing capacity of natural gas can reach 48 million cubic meters. A 230 kilometer 16 inch pipeline connects the production area with the Dukum Special Zone, and transports raw materials in a closed manner to the Lingang plant area for fine fractionation. It is equipped with low-temperature storage tanks and external pipelines to build an integrated export system. The first phase processes one million tons of light hydrocarbons annually, and the products are suitable for both local petrochemical supply and overseas export.

Reshaping Oman's Regional Energy Competitive Advantage

This project is the core carrier of local energy diversification. After being put into operation, it will fill the gaps in downstream natural gas processing and open up a complete industrial channel from mining to export. The industrial value of the Dukum Special Economic Zone will be further released, significantly enhancing Oman's supply capacity in the global light hydrocarbon raw material market, optimizing the country's energy industry structure, and continuously iterating the existing energy development pattern in the Middle East.Editor/Min Jing
