Relying on the abundant scenic resources of grasslands, CGN has been deeply cultivating the twelve leagues and cities in Inner Mongolia for many years. During the 14th Five Year Plan period, the local new energy installed capacity exceeded 10 million kilowatts. On July 8, 2026, the government and enterprises gathered in Hohhot for talks and signed a new cooperation blueprint, relying on their respective resources and industrial advantages to jointly layout diversified green energy projects and build a regional energy security barrier.

Wang Weizhong, on behalf of the Party Committee and Government of the Autonomous Region, welcomed Yang Changli and Pang Songtao and their delegation, thanked CGN for its long-term support to Inner Mongolia, and introduced the economic and social development of the autonomous region. He said that Inner Mongolia is an important national energy and strategic resource base. Currently, the whole region is deeply studying and implementing the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important speeches on Inner Mongolia and the important discourse on national energy security. In accordance with the 1571 work deployment of the Autonomous Region Party Committee, we adhere to the dual development of coal, electricity, oil, gas, wind, solar, water, and nuclear energy, promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional energy, improve the level of new energy development and utilization, strengthen the development and utilization of strategic mineral resources, and fully guarantee the security of national energy and strategic resources.

CGN has unique advantages in the development of the entire nuclear power industry chain, new energy construction, and the application of non power nuclear technology, and has enormous potential for cooperation with Inner Mongolia. We hope that CGN will take this signing as a new starting point to increase investment in areas such as photovoltaic sand control, green hydroammonia, new energy storage, and rural revitalization, and to implement more landmark projects in mineral resource exploration and development, nuclear energy comprehensive application, and other fields. At the same time, we hope that enterprises will continue to fulfill their main responsibility for safety production and provide high-level safety protection for high-quality development. We will continue to provide excellent service guarantees and fully support enterprises in achieving greater development in Inner Mongolia.

Yang Changli thanked the Party Committee and Government of the Autonomous Region for their concern and support to CGN, and introduced the company's industrial layout and development situation. He stated that Inner Mongolia has a vast territory and abundant resources, making it a strategic core area for the development of CGN industry. During the 14th Five Year Plan period, the installed capacity of new energy in Inner Mongolia has exceeded 10 million kilowatts, and its business covers twelve leagues and cities in the region. Facing the 15th Five Year Plan, CGN will base itself on the good cooperation foundation between the two sides, deeply practice the concept of green development, continuously increase investment layout, focus on promoting various work of the Shage Desert Outward Transmission Base, coordinate the construction of new energy, wind solar hydrogen production, solar thermal power generation, photovoltaic sand control, green power direct supply, nuclear technology application and other projects, effectively shoulder the responsibility of central enterprises, and contribute greater strength to the construction of Inner Mongolia as a national important energy and strategic resource base.

The implementation of this agreement marks a new chapter in the coordinated development of green energy between the central and local governments. Both parties will work together to promote the implementation of various energy projects, continuously consolidate the foundation of the regional energy industry, and jointly safeguard the security of national energy strategic resources.Editor/Min Jing
