Faced with the extreme construction environment of high pressure, rich water, and soft soil, CRCHI's self-developed shield tunneling equipment steadily advanced and successfully completed the task of ultra long distance tunnel construction, clearing key obstacles for the construction of major national water conservancy projects.

Hardcore rupture in complex geological formations
Recently, the shield tunnel section of Shaolingyuan Tunnel in Shaanxi Hanji Wei Phase II Project was successfully completed. The total length of the through tunnel this time is 8625 meters. The loess saturation in the construction area exceeds 80%, and the soil stability is extremely poor. It also needs to pass through the Xikang Railway and Baomao Expressway. The entire construction process encountered a high-pressure rich water sand layer of over 3000 meters, with a maximum water and soil pressure of 8.2 bar, making it one of the most difficult projects of its kind in China. The CRCHI independently developed Fenjin No.1 shield tunneling machine is suitable for harsh working conditions such as high water pressure, large burial depth, and long-distance single head excavation, and operates stably throughout the entire process.

The water rich high-pressure sand layer shield tunneling technology conquered by this project is the first of its kind in China and has gained authoritative recognition in the industry. It can provide a reference example for similar geological construction worldwide.
