After undergoing meticulous construction, the new line from Moujia to Shichang in the Chengdu Chongqing Railway renovation project has been officially put into operation, and the old and existing lines have been put into use simultaneously. This key section has been connected to fill the gaps in the construction of the railway line, steadily promoting the formation of double tracks along the entire line, and laying a solid foundation for improving the quality and efficiency of the railway.

Precision construction improves quality

The newly opened Moujia Shichang line has a total length of 4.86 kilometers and is constructed by CR1G. During the construction period, 170000 cubic meters of roadbed earthworks were completed, along with the construction of one bridge and two tunnels, all in accordance with millimeter level precision construction standards. As an old railway trunk line with a history of more than 70 years, the Chengdu Chongqing Railway continues to upgrade through the mode of adding second lines in sections and opening sections. Previously, multiple sections have been successfully opened to traffic. The opening of this new line enables the connection of the two line sections, greatly promoting the construction process of the entire double line.

Empower road network upgrade

The new line has completely changed the problems of low efficiency and limited train passing on the original single track, significantly improving railway capacity and achieving efficient diversion and turnover of passenger and freight trains. At the same time, the physical separation of new and old lines completely avoids the safety hazards of cross operation of business lines, providing a safe construction environment for subsequent renovation projects such as tunnel reconstruction, old bridge reconstruction, and slope reinforcement.
