In 2009, cotton harvesting in Xinjiang relied entirely on hundreds of thousands of cotton pickers bending over and manually picking. High end cotton pickers were monopolized by foreign companies such as John Deere, with an imported six row machine selling for over 8 million yuan. The mission of Boshiran was thus established: to create the Chinese people's own cotton picking machine. The first prototype was launched in 2012, and in 2019, its domestic sales exceeded those of imported brands for the first time. From 2021 to 2023, its market share reached 54.16%, 43.00%, and 39.91% respectively, firmly ranking first in the industry.

Intelligent factory efficiency improvement

The Urumqi factory has 4000 storage locations in a three-dimensional warehouse, coordinated with MES, and precise feeding by AGV carts. Each cotton picking machine has 3600 components that can be traced throughout the entire process. By 2025, the Wusu factory will invest over 30 million yuan to introduce intelligent equipment, and the 16 meter wide gantry will increase the efficiency of frame processing from 2 units per month to 6 units. The intelligence level reaches 78%, and one unit is offline in 3.25 hours.

Core technology breakthrough

The technology of picking cotton heads and spindles has been blocked for a long time, and the bowl application is divided into five modules to tackle each one. R&D personnel conduct closed-loop testing in cotton fields from September to December every year. By 2025, the self-made rate of core components will reach 90%, the localization rate will be close to 100%, 253 patents will be obtained, the net procurement rate will exceed 95%, the impurity rate will be less than 5%, and the selling price of the six row packaging machine will be only over 4.8 million yuan. The product has expanded to 18 series and over 50 individual items.

Going global and transformation

54 cotton picking machines will be exported in bulk to Uzbekistan for the first time in 2023, 300 in 2024, and 36 customized models will be launched again in 2025. Our products are exported to more than ten countries and we have established overseas offices in multiple countries. In June 2026, a 400 horsepower hybrid new energy tractor will be produced, reducing fuel consumption by about 20%, with a planned annual production capacity of 1500 units for export.
