Several key projects in Central Asian oil and gas production areas are progressing in an orderly manner. Chairman of Kazakhstan National Oil and Gas Company, Hasenov, led a delegation to China to hold work meetings with PetroChina. Both sides exchanged views on multiple strategic oil and gas projects within the country, reviewed project progress, and sought new opportunities for bilateral energy cooperation.

Refining project promotion
Both parties are reviewing the progress of the expansion project of the Shymkent Refinery, which plans to increase the annual processing capacity from 6 million tons to 12 million tons by 2030. At present, feasibility studies are being prepared, technical audits and market research have been completed, and project configuration optimization is being carried out simultaneously, striving to control capital investment. Oil and gas development landing
The meeting discussed the Ulihtao natural gas project, which has a reserve of 29.4 billion cubic meters and an expected annual gas transmission capacity of 1 billion cubic meters. Currently, equipment procurement, civil engineering, and installation have started, and the production of raw gas will be processed by the Zananor Oil and Gas Processing Plant. As of July 1st, the joint venture Mangeshtao Oil and Gas Company has produced a total of 3.012 million tons of oil.
