In July, South America was in the midst of winter, but the technical and business team of CRRC Tangshan set foot on Argentine soil with full enthusiasm. This is not a simple follow-up visit, but a journey of fulfilling obligations across oceans. From the bustling Buenos Aires metropolitan area, to the picturesque Mendoza vineyard, and even to the northernmost valley of Umawaca in the world, this team has traveled to many places, just to let more "Made in China" rail transit equipment run on the rails of Argentina as soon as possible.

Busi Circle: Thousands of high-speed trains rejuvenated
In the conference room of the Argentine National Railway Company, there was an unusually lively discussion about 43 diesel multiple units. This is a new order won by a consortium formed by CRRC Tangshan and China Hongqiao International Investment Co., Ltd., with a total of 150 cars, covering 36 three car wide gauge and 7 six car meter gauge high-speed trains. This is not only a supplement to transportation capacity, but also a replacement of old local vehicles. At present, the first advance payment has not yet been received, but technical integration has taken a step forward. Both parties have conducted a detailed review of the vehicle technology scheme, interface standards, and delivery nodes. After these trains are put into operation, they will greatly enhance the safety and service level of commuting railways in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area, benefiting millions of daily commuters. It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time CRRC Tangshan has served Argentina. As early as 2015, the first meter gauge diesel multiple unit exported to Argentina was produced here, laying the foundation of trust between the two sides.

Mendoza: intercity light rail speeds up
Traveling north along the Andes Mountains, the team arrived in the province of Mendoza, known for its wine. An important livelihood project is being promoted here - the Mendoza Light Rail DMU project. Faced with a complex environment of 45 kilometers of existing lines and 19 stations, CRRC Tangshan has come up with a customized solution. According to the contract, three three sets of wide gauge diesel multiple units will soon settle here. Each train can carry up to 506 passengers and adopts a two motor and one trailer power layout, which is sufficient to cope with the passenger flow pressure during peak hours. The technical team conducted on-site inspections of the local line conditions and carried out multiple rounds of technical adaptation for the mountainous climate and existing facilities, ensuring that the new car can seamlessly connect with the existing light rail system. In the future, this route will become a major artery connecting the eastern part of Mendoza with the metropolitan area, accelerating the process of regional transportation integration.

Hu Huyi: Green Business Card Upgrade
In the province of Jujuy in northwestern Argentina, the first Chinese export South American new energy light rail train developed by CRRC Tangshan has long been shuttling through the Umawaca Valley, becoming a beautiful scenic spot in the area. This train utilizes the abundant solar energy resources in the local area and is equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries, which are environmentally friendly and comfortable to ride. With outstanding operational performance, the owner decisively decided to purchase an additional four car train. This technical exchange is aimed at finalizing the details of the additional purchase project. This measure is not only a recognition of CRRC Tangshan's technological strength, but also a trust in China's new energy rail transit solutions. With the expansion of green trains, the tourism transportation in Jujuy Province will experience a qualitative leap, providing a vivid example for Argentina's green and low-carbon transformation.

From diesel locomotives to new energy trains, CRRC Tangshan's market presence in Argentina continues to expand. At the same time, the brand synergy of China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC) is emerging, with the production of 50 subway A and C lines constructed by CRRC Sifang, and the steady progress of 174 B lines managed by CRRC Changke. With unprecedented breadth and depth, China's rail transit equipment is being integrated into the daily life of Argentine people, writing a new chapter in the joint construction of the the Belt and Road.Editor/Yang Meiling
