Vladimir Putin presided over the launch ceremony of the Yermakov beneficiation joint plant in the lobby of Buryatia State University via video link.
The enterprise is located in the Yermakov fluorite beryllium deposit in the Kirghinsky District of the Republic of Buryatia, in the eastern part of Ulan Ude. This deposit has strategic value: its raw materials are essential for the manufacturing of aviation, aerospace, laser, and atomic energy equipment. The designed ore processing capacity of the beneficiation plant is 30000 tons, and the entire project is planned to be fully completed by 2028.
Previously, the Russian President had approved the commissioning of a new factory in the Republic of Tatarstan and initiated testing of Russia's first domestically produced large-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) production compressor. Putin's deployment of this factory and domestically produced compressors is another step for Russia to solidify its technological sovereignty. He also expressed gratitude to Kazan for the work they have carried out to enhance Russia's global status.Editor/Min Jing
