After China's favorable policy of zero tariffs on African agricultural products was implemented, Nigeria seized the market window, actively connected with China's modern agricultural technology, filled its own processing gaps, and achieved a rise in the value chain of agricultural product exports.

Relying on China's zero tariff policy implemented in 53 African countries, Nigeria's characteristic agricultural products such as cashews, cocoa, and sesame have ushered in a new opportunity for exports to China. Due to insufficient processing capacity and imperfect supply chain system, the local area can only export primary agricultural products at low prices for a long time, and the tariff dividend forces it to comprehensively improve its agricultural standardization system.

Nigeria will focus on introducing China's water-saving irrigation soil treatment technology to solve the problems of land degradation and water shortage in the northern region. It will also collaborate with Chinese universities to carry out STEM special talent training. Both parties will simultaneously plan and build solar cold chain storage facilities to reduce the storage and transportation losses of agricultural products. This industrial cooperation coincides with the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Nepal, and with the support of cultural activities related to the China Africa Cultural Exchange Year, bilateral cooperation has moved from simple goods trade to a new stage of technology transfer and deep synergy in the industrial chain.Editor/Min Jing
