Recently, Sinopec Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd. disclosed its mid-term performance for 2026, with a report showing that approximately 3.052 billion US dollars worth of new overseas contracts were signed in the first half of the year. In the United Arab Emirates, ADNOC awarded SEG a construction contract worth $750 million for the Habshan project; In Saudi Arabia, Saudi Aramco awarded SEG a $45 million EPC contract for the Ras Tanura refinery emergency maintenance project and signed two five-year long-term agreements. From the United Arab Emirates to Saudi Arabia, from traditional oil and gas to green hydrogen fields, Sinopec Engineering's energy infrastructure map in the Middle East is continuously expanding.

UAE and Saudi Arabia secure large orders

In the UAE, ADNOC has awarded SEG a construction contract worth $750 million for the Habshan project, which is part of SEG's expanding portfolio of major energy infrastructure projects in the UAE, further consolidating its market position in the Middle East oil and gas industry. In Saudi Arabia, Saudi Aramco has awarded SEG a $45 million EPC contract for the Ras Tanura refinery emergency maintenance project, covering design, procurement, and construction activities related to the refinery's emergency maintenance engineering. SEG has also signed two 60 month long-term agreements with Saudi Aramco, the first of which is an EPC long-term agreement covering design, procurement, and construction services related to inspection, maintenance, and renovation of Saudi Aramco's existing factories in Saudi Arabia; The second one is a long-term agreement for project management consulting, covering engineering consulting services for Saudi Aramco's future investment projects.

Saudi project progress exceeds 80%

SEG is currently executing multiple major energy and petrochemical projects in Saudi Arabia, with multiple projects entering the later stages of construction. The P1 and P2 sections of the Saudi Aramco Riyas natural gas condensate project have reached the installation peak stage, and the design work has entered the final stage. The overall progress of the project is close to 80%. The tank farm of Saudi Arabia's AMIRAL project and the integration project with SATORP refinery have also reached the installation peak stage, and the overall progress is close to 80%. The third phase design phase of Saudi Aramco's Jafurah natural gas expansion project has been completed, and construction is fully underway, with an overall progress of over 60%. The Saudi Aramco Haradh GOSP-3 oil and gas separation and production project is currently in the peak period of design and procurement, with an overall progress of over 30%. The upgrading and renovation project of the crude oil pump station has been basically completed and entered the final stage. Layout of emerging green hydrogen fields

In the field of clean energy, SEG is providing FEED front-end engineering design services for the Yanbu Green Hydrogen Project in Saudi Arabia. The overall design progress of the project has exceeded 80%, highlighting SEG's increasing involvement in Saudi Arabia's emerging hydrogen and low-carbon energy sectors. SEG's business has expanded to emerging fields such as green hydrogen, green ammonia, sustainable aviation fuels, and inorganic salts, and has entered new markets such as Uzbekistan, Australia, South Korea, and Singapore. In the first half of 2026, SEG signed a total of 51.911 billion yuan in new contracts, including 3.052 billion US dollars in overseas contracts, including 1.093 billion US dollars in EPC contracts for the butadiene project in Kazakhstan and 24 million US dollars in technology transfer and process package design contracts.
