On the humid and rainy Kuching River in Malaysia, the construction of cross-border smart rail bridges has reached a critical juncture. The Chinese construction team overcame difficulties and successfully completed the core bridge construction task, refreshing the project construction progress.

On August 19, 2026, the Sg. Kuap Bridge of Kuching Smart Rail Blue Line Section 1, constructed by CREC Engineering Malaysia, was successfully erected with T-beams. The bridge is a controlled river crossing project and a key link in the smooth completion of the entire line. This construction marks an important milestone breakthrough for the project.
