On August 13, 2026, Fuzhou welcomed a special signing ceremony. Yongfu Co., Ltd. and China Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd. have officially signed a design service contract for the 1406.017MW gas power station project in Algeriat Besa. On both sides of the signing table, Yan Weihua, General Manager of China National Electric Corporation, and Huang Yansheng, General Manager of Yongfu Corporation, jointly wrote the contract. This is the first project of Yongfu Corporation in the Algerian market, and also the company's largest overseas single unit capacity gas power station design project to date, marking the official entry of Chinese private power design forces into the high-end power market in North Africa.

1.4GW Power Station Contract Design

The Tebessa Gas Power Station is a national key power infrastructure project in Algeria. It plans to build two sets of two trailer one combined cycle units, each equipped with two GE 9F.04 gas turbine generators, two waste heat boilers, one steam turbine generator, and one air-cooled condenser. GE 9F.04 is a globally mainstream large gas turbine model known for its high efficiency, low emissions, and flexible peak shaving capabilities. Yongfu Co., Ltd. will undertake the full process technical support from scheme design to construction coordination, covering design and management services. The installed capacity of 1.4GW makes this project occupy an important position in the Algerian power map.

First breakthrough in North African market

Yongfu Co., Ltd. is a well-known domestic power engineering survey and design enterprise, which has accumulated rich experience in the fields of large-scale gas turbine power stations and new energy power stations. Previously, overseas business was mainly distributed in Southeast Asia, South Asia and other markets. This entry into Algeria means a successful entry into the high-end power design market in North Africa.
