Türkiye has increased its traffic infrastructure investment, and the bidding for the heavy ring railway project is about to be launched. Meanwhile, it will implement highway projects to benefit people, and comprehensively upgrade the domestic comprehensive transportation network.

Billion dollar railway recruitment begins

Ulalolu, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye, announced that the bidding for the northern ring railway of Istanbul will be opened on October 14, with a total investment of 6.75 billion US dollars, which is the largest foreign-funded railway project in the region. The entire line includes a 122.3 kilometer double track mainline and multiple tunnels and bridge supporting facilities. It is expected to carry 33 million passengers and 30 million tons of freight annually, greatly enhancing the intermodal transportation capacity of the Asia Europe railway. Currently, six international financial institutions have confirmed financing support.

Highway efficiency improvement benefits the people

At the same time, the Yalova Almutlu Highway in Türkiye was officially opened to traffic, and the travel time between the two places was shortened by half. The project can save 260 million lire in comprehensive costs annually, reduce 900 tons of carbon emissions, balance convenience for people's livelihoods with green and low-carbon development, and help improve the quality and upgrade of regional transportation.Editor/Min Jing
