On the vast land of Central Asia, wind turbines are rising one after another. Relying on the deep friendship in the field of green energy between China and Ukraine, a foreign aid wind power station has completed all construction tasks. The implementation of the project not only brings a continuous stream of clean electricity, but also witnesses the vivid practice of the two countries working together to build the Green Silk Road.

Project completion ceremony held

The completion ceremony of China's aid to Uzbekistan wind power plant was successfully held in the Bostarek District of Tashkent Oblast. Chinese Ambassador to Uzbekistan Yu Jun, Embassy Counsellor Sun Yan, Xinjiang Department of Commerce Director Xing Tao and other representatives from China and Uzbekistan attended the event. Qiang Wanqing, member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of China Energy Engineering Xinjiang Institute, attended the event as a representative of the project management unit.

At the ceremony, Chinese and Ukrainian guests reviewed their past cooperation under the wind turbine and completed the ribbon cutting and unveiling of the completion commemorative plaque together. The ribbon falls and the commemorative plaque is officially unveiled, representing the completion of the project construction and adding another practical achievement to China Ukraine clean energy cooperation. After the ceremony, the attending representatives planted a friendship commemorative tree together, hung commemorative plaques, and preserved the deep friendship of energy cooperation between the two countries in a green way.

Overcoming difficulties in project construction

This foreign aid project carries the responsibility and mission of external cooperation. During the project implementation phase, the leading management unit Xinjiang Institute strictly adheres to the foreign aid management system, organizes technical discussions and scheme reviews between China and Ukraine, refines and deepens design reviews, and takes into account domestic foreign aid norms and local construction standards in Ukraine. During the construction period, the team completed multiple batches of equipment and materials related to local tax exemption and sample sealing. Faced with tight construction schedules, long coordination chains, and unfavorable external conditions such as rain, snow, and muddy roads, we will dynamically adjust the construction plan, allocate various resources reasonably, strictly adhere to the bottom line of quality and safety, and fulfill the responsibility and mission of foreign aid projects. In the later stage of the project, Xinjiang Institute coordinated and planned the completion ceremony, polished the theme and process of the activities, achieved smooth connection between engineering construction and ceremony preparation, and ensured the successful completion of the project.

Empowering Green Silk Road Cooperation

This wind power plant belongs to a key green energy cooperation project between the Chinese and Ukrainian governments. After the power station is put into operation, it can output stable and clean electricity for the local area, improve the energy structure of Uzbekistan, boost the local low-carbon transformation, and inject green kinetic energy into the joint construction of the the Belt and Road. The wind turbines in the Bostarek district rotate with the wind, bringing clean energy to the benefit of ordinary people. The project effectively improves local people's livelihoods, consolidates the foundation of mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Ukraine, promotes the sustainable development of the Green Silk Road, and ensures stable and far-reaching bilateral friendly relations in common development. Foreign aid wind power projects are not simply about building wind farms, but also serve as a showcase for China's standards, equipment, and engineering capabilities to the outside world. Xinjiang Institute undertakes the overall project management work, covering the entire process of technical docking, local procedure handling, and on-site construction organization, and honing international EPC project management capabilities. Uzbekistan has abundant wind energy resources in Central Asia, and after the demonstration project is implemented, it is expected to drive the subsequent development of commercial wind power.
