Recently, the latest data from the General Administration of Customs of China revealed a historic turning point: by 2025, China's industrial robot exports will surpass imports for the first time, increasing by 48.7%, and China will officially become a net exporter of industrial robots. In the first half of 2026, exports will continue to be strong, with Chinese manufacturers accounting for over 90% of the top ten global shipments of commercial service robots. From consumer level to industrial level, from complete machines to core components, China's robotics industry is embedding itself in the global supply chain with a full chain posture.

Industrial whole machine mergers and acquisitions, integration and overseas expansion

The first tier industrial robot companies are deeply embedded in the global supply chain through cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Estun has successively acquired German Cloos welding robots, German Trio motion control, and invested in American Barrett collaborative robots. In 2026, overseas revenue accounted for 36.33%. In June, the German subsidiary opened to increase market share through the efficiency of the Chinese supply chain and local services in Europe. Huichuan Technology servo system enters Tesla and Ford North American factories; New Shida and Efte have set up research and development centers and production bases in Germany and Italy respectively to avoid anti-dumping tariffs.

Humanoid and service robots expand their territory

The second tier humanoid robot companies are opening up overseas markets through technological innovation. Yushu Technology's overseas revenue in 2025 is 732 million yuan, and from 2022 to 2024, the proportion of overseas revenue will consistently exceed 50%. It is the earliest humanoid manufacturer to scale up exports. Ubiquitous has established branch offices in the Middle East to build a localized operational network. The third tier consumer service robots have established a global brand, with Stone Technology's products covering more than 170 countries. By the end of 2024, it will start outsourcing to Vietnam and expand its production capacity in Malaysia by 2025, becoming the first Chinese cleaning robot enterprise to undertake overseas outsourcing. Yunji Technology's overseas revenue is expected to increase by 90% in 2026, while the overseas private brand of Shiyuan Stock is expected to grow by 54.83%. The advantages and challenges of full chain collaboration coexist

The market share of domestic industrial robot brands in China has reached 55.3%, surpassing foreign investment for the first time. The localization rate of core components has jumped from 30% in 2020 to over 70%, and the average price of domestically produced six axes is only half of that of foreign investment. But challenges still exist: the domestic production capacity of RV reducers only meets one-third of the domestic demand, and the localization rate of high-end servo motors, six axis force sensors and other links is low; The proportion of foreign investment in the automobile manufacturing industry still exceeds 70%; Technical barriers such as EU anti-dumping and US export controls have risen. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has released a standard system for humanoid robots and embodied intelligence, launched a special action to deploy 10000 units, and Shanghai has proposed to exceed 50 billion yuan in core industry scale by 2027. Chinese companies are building a more resilient global landscape through overseas mergers and acquisitions, regional capacity diversification, and global standard participation.Editor/Gao Xue
