The desert and Gobi are experiencing high temperatures and scorching heat, and the complex road conditions pose numerous challenges. The Chinese construction team has risen to the challenge and overcome many difficulties in the transportation of large items overseas. Recently, the first batch of wind turbine equipment for the PIF5 wind power project in Saudi Arabia has successfully arrived at the site, completely ending the civil construction phase and laying a solid foundation for the comprehensive installation of equipment for this large-scale overseas wind power project.

Overcoming difficulties and ensuring delivery
The project is jointly contracted and constructed by CEEC, GPEC, and NWEPDI. It is located in a special desert environment in Saudi Arabia, where high temperatures and complex road networks pose great challenges to the transportation of oversized equipment. The project team tailored a full chain logistics and delivery plan for large items, finely controlled the operation process throughout, and properly solved various problems such as large item passage and high-temperature construction. Relying on standardized management and strict quality inspection, the complete set of wind turbines, 102 meter long wind turbine blades, and supporting components were successfully delivered in good condition. The sweeping area of a single wind turbine can reach 32000 square meters, and the equipment volume is huge, making delivery much more difficult than conventional wind power projects. Accumulating energy and embarking on a new journey
At present, all the first batch of on-site equipment has successfully completed on-site handover and comprehensive acceptance. The project team is advancing all preparatory work in an orderly manner, making every effort to carry out preliminary work such as equipment pre inspection, site organization, and hoisting resource allocation. The successful landing of this equipment marks a crucial breakthrough in the project construction stage, officially entering a new construction phase. It also provides strong support for the steady progress of large-scale wind turbine hoisting and equipment installation operations, and continues to shine the business card of China's overseas new energy engineering construction.Editor/Min Jing
