On September 8, 2026, CCCC Indonesia successfully signed a contract for the China Kalimantan coal mining project. The project is located in Central Kalimantan Province, one of the main coal producing areas in Indonesia. The scope of work includes high calorie and low sulfur coal mining and corresponding earthwork stripping.

This project is a new breakthrough for CCCC Indonesia after the implementation of coal transportation business and coal transportation road operation and maintenance business, marking the extension of CCCC's business in the Indonesian market from mining supporting infrastructure to the entire mining service industry chain.

Chinese engineering enterprises entering the upstream mining process is beneficial for the full industry chain coordination of transportation and downstream energy projects. However, it is also necessary to pay special attention to the impact of the rainy season on the progress of open-pit mining, as well as the cost control and performance organization pressure brought by the investment of large equipment and localized labor allocation.Editor/Min Jing
